Gennady Uvarkin took part in the V International Conference within the framework of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Program

The CEO of the Legal Bureau "Omega" Gennady Uvarkin took part in the V International Conference:

"Tangible and Intagible impact of the Information and Communication in the Digital Age"

within the framework of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Program "Information for Everybody and the XIV International IT Forum.

In the digital age, copyright and intellectual property need new legislative regulation, based on the complexity of implementing contractual mechanisms in the digital environment. The conference participants noted that the right to access to cultural values and the right to freedom of creativity should determine the content of exclusive rights to the results of intellectual activity.

At the moment, according to Gennady Uvarkin, the main goal of IP rights protection is to balance the interests of copyright holders and users, to improve the mechanisms of IP rights protection in order to exclude the possibility of abuse of rights while protecting them in court.
